CMS Reminds Physicians to Update NPI Records
   
 

To ensure prompt and accurate payment, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) encourages physicians to keep their National Provider Identification (NPI) record up to date.

 




2009 ICD-9 Coding Essentials Seminars

Second Phase of Tamper-Resistant Prescription Law Now in Effect
   
 

As of Oct. 1, 2008, all handwritten fee-for-service Medicaid prescriptions must contain at least one feature from each of the three categories of tamper resistance.

 




Kentucky Medicaid Announces Change to Physician Enrollment
   
 

The Department for Medicaid Services (DMS) posted a notice that web-based applications for Kentucky Medicaid are no longer acceptable.

 




CMS Releases Revised Guidelines for Teaching Physicians, Interns, and Residents
   
 

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a revised edition of Guidelines for Teaching Physicians, Interns, and Residents (July 2008).

 




AMA to Present "Heal the Claims Process" Campaign to KMA
   
 

The KMA Medical Business Advocacy (MBA) and Quality Committees have been invited to participate in a “Learn at Lunch” webinar with the AMA Private Sector Advocacy unit (PSA) at 12 p.m. (EST), October 9, 2008.
