Course Description:

This activity will address the importance of screening, diagnosis and treatment of kidney related conditions.  Education will also focus on current treatment protocols.

The following information is provided by the American Kidney Fund regarding the state of kidney disease in Kentucky.


Objectives:

  • Describe symptoms of kidney disease.
  • Describe current treatments that can address some of the symptoms of the disease.
  • Describe important communication considerations regarding medication contradictions.
