From energy drinks and supplements to vaping devices, social media influencers are constantly promoting products that promise better health. While many of these trends are marketed as wellness solutions, some may pose serious—and often overlooked—risks to cardiovascular health.
To address this growing concern, KMA and the KFMC’s Small STEPS, Big Impact campaign, is launching a new two-part CME series: “Trending Toward Trouble: Popular Health Fads Harming Your Heart.” This timely series will take an evidence-based look at widely embraced health and wellness trends that may carry unintended consequences for heart health.
Physicians participating in the series will examine how these emerging fads influence patient behaviors, affect clinical outcomes, and contribute to cardiovascular risk at the population level—equipping attendees with practical insights to better counsel patients navigating today’s wellness landscape.
