COVID-19 Vaccine Delivery and Distribution: Next Steps for Kentucky

Course Description:

This module will provide the latest information on the COVID-19 vaccine related to distribution, delivery and prioritization of vaccine receipt.

Statement of Need:

The emergence of COVID-19 has created a national public health epidemic.  Vaccines for the virus are in the process of being approved under the FDA emergency use authorization.  Upon approval, Kentucky physicians will need to know how the process of distribution, delivery and administration of the vaccine.

Objectives:

At the end of this module physicians will be able to:

    • Describe plans for delivery and distribution of the vaccine in Kentucky.
    • Describe the prioritization process for receipt of the vaccines
    • Understand how to access key information
    • Be able to access the application process for participation as a vaccination provider

Method of Participation Used:  Participants will view and listen to a recorded lecture while simultaneously viewing slides.
