COVID Recovery in Rural Communities: Unpacking Lessons in Disparities from the Pandemic

Continuing Medical Education Information

Course Description:

COVID-19 presented challenges for every community, and Kentucky’s rural areas were no different. Kentucky’s rural regions have had significantly lower percentages of vaccination rates than urban areas.(1)  Many factors contribute to these numbers including a tremendous lack of access to care, misinformation and vaccine hesitancy.

This course is designed to discuss and consider the lessons learned during the pandemic and how we can improve care for rural patients.
