KMA members are encouraged to register for and participate in the 2026 Physicians’ Day at the Capitol, taking place on Wednesday, February 18, in Frankfort. This annual advocacy event brings physicians from across the Commonwealth together to meet with state legislators and advocate for KMA’s priority issues during the legislative session.
The event will begin earlier in the week with a Virtual Legislative Briefing on Monday, February 16, at 7:00 p.m. ET. During this session, the KMA advocacy team will provide an update on key legislative priorities and issues impacting physicians, followed by a question-and-answer discussion to help participants prepare for their Capitol visits.
On Wednesday, February 18, KMA members will convene at the Capitol Annex for in-person meetings with legislators. Attendees are responsible for scheduling their own legislative meetings in advance by contacting the Legislative Research Commission at (502) 564-8100.
Following legislator visits, participants will gather for lunch and a legislator visit debriefing at the Capital Plaza Hotel, located at 405 Wilkinson Blvd., Frankfort, KY. The deadline to register for lunch is the end of the day, Monday, Feb. 9.
Physicians are encouraged not to miss this opportunity to make their voices heard, engage directly with policymakers, and connect with colleagues from across the state. Registration and additional event details are available at:
