KMA Featured in KET “Making A Difference” Spot, “Visions” Magazine

KMA Executive Vice President Pat Padgett is featured in the April issue of the KET magazine, Visions, as well as in a minute-long television spot for their Making A Difference ad campaign.

The article and ad highlight KMA’s public health work, particularly the Association’s partnership with KET during its 2021-2022 effort, Breathe Better Kentucky. The campaign included sponsorship of a multi-part series on KET called “Fighting to Breathe: Lung Disease in Kentucky,” that sought to raise awareness on lung health issues, such as cancer screenings, radon testing and mitigation, and smoking and vaping prevention.

Last year, the American Lung Association’s “State of Cancer Report” found Kentucky had risen to #2 in the nation in lung cancer screening rates.

“The news offered encouraging evidence that public health initiatives aimed at getting quality information into the hands of Kentuckians could have a sizeable impact on improving their health habits and quality of life,” said Padgett, as quoted in the Visions article.

The online version of Visions magazine is available here. The television spot can be viewed here.
