Course Description:

This activity will address the clinical specialty of lifestyle medicine. Education will also focus on the importance of lifestyle choices for better health outcomes. The activity will describe strategies that can be implemented to improve sleep, well-being, stress, nutrition and exercise.

Statement of Need:

The “Blue Zones twin study” refers to the Danish Twin Study, which established that only about 20% of a person’s lifespan is determined by genetics, while the remaining 80% is influenced by lifestyle and environmental factors.

  • Describe strategies for improving health outcomes through better approaches to nutrition, exercise and mindfulness.
