As summer vacations begin and families look to bring school-aged children in for well-child visits and sports physicals, the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services is asking physicians to remind patients and parents about updating their vaccinations.
Kentucky currently ranks below all of its bordering states in childhood immunizations, including in the bottom five states for the two-dose MMR vaccine, typically given prior to kindergarten.
The Cabinet has an Immunization Information for Providers page with additional resources and materials, available at https://www.chfs.ky.gov/agencies/dph/dehp/Pages/immunizationprovider.aspx.
