KMA is seeking member physicians who are interested in serving on the Committee on Physical Education and Medical Aspects of Sports, which is concerned with matters relating to the improvement of the overall health of the school-age athlete. The committee recommends programs to the KMA Board of Trustees and advises physicians, as well as interested agencies, including the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, about programs that would result in the development of stronger student athletes, both mentally and physically, and in preventive programs that would eliminate or correct matters that might be detrimental to the health of our youth at an early stage.
