KMA Hosts CME Coordinator Conference

More than 25 attendees gathered on Friday, Oct. 20 for KMA’s annual CME Coordinator Conference. Education specialists from 15 hospitals, health systems, and Area Health Education Centers across the state gathered for networking and updates about the latest in continuing medical education.

Keynoting the event was Dion Richetti, Vice President for Accreditation and Recognition with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. Additional speakers included Carolyn Burns, M.D., CMO & Co-founder of Collaborative Clinical Consulting, Ursula Mullins, PhD, of Dare to Care Food Bank, Christopher 2X of the 2X Game Changers organization, Karen Busse, MS, and McKenna Byerley, BA of Norton Healthcare, and Maria Hayden, MSN of Baptist Health Paducah.

Attendees participated in group discussions designed to encourage innovation and creativity in approaches to continuing education and shared strategies for implementation throughout the conference.
